This course is conducted in a blended learning format, which combines an online eLearning module completed at the student’s own pace, followed by an in-person, hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.
HeartCode® ACLS is designed for advanced-level healthcare providers who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. The course emphasizes advanced assessment, effective team dynamics, early recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, airway management, and pharmacology related to resuscitation. Participants will also practice the skills necessary to lead or support resuscitation efforts in both in-hospital and prehospital environments.
This course is ideal for Paramedics, Nurses, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, medical and nursing students, and other healthcare professionals whose roles require advanced resuscitation knowledge and skills.
Upon successful completion, students receive an ACLS Provider certification card, valid for two years.
